The blade is the easy answer. Put it down.
A dark land of twelve moons and one that isn't there — where the locked doors open only for those who refuse to strike.
Ironroot is a world that watches how you move through it. Draw your blade at every shadow and the doors stay shut. Learn when to lower it — when to stay silent, when to walk away, when to lose on purpose — and the land begins to open for you.
Nine of the twelve first locks won't yield to force. They open when you decline the fight. The strongest thing you can do here is nothing at all.
Each moon has a name and a temper, and the world changes beneath them. The thirteenth is known only by the shape of the gap it leaves.
Take more than the prairie can give and something wakes that should have stayed asleep. Nothing you do out here is forgotten.

The dead drift between the grasses — not enemies, not friends. Some are memory. Some are warning. Some are waiting to see what kind of person you are before they decide whether to help you or haunt you.
Every spirit you meet is a choice about who you're becoming.

Hand-painted, moon by moon. The prairie shifts its light as the calendar turns — the same clearing tender under one moon and merciless under the next. What you see is never just a backdrop. It's the world telling you how it feels about you today.
"Every lock in this world opens by refusing to close it."

I'm Sean — Cree, born and raised in Edmonton's river valley. I spent twenty-three years with a paintbrush before I ever wrote a line of code, and Ironroot is the world I always wanted to walk through. A prairie that remembers. A game about the strength it takes to not swing.
